The CDD Summer Diaries

At Custom Drapery Designs, family has always been at the heart of what we do. While we spend our days helping create beautiful spaces for others to call home, we know that what makes a house truly special isn't just what's inside it, but the people who fill it. As we settle into the fall season, we wanted to take a moment to look back on a summer filled with travel, celebrations, and quality time with the people we love most.

This summer took the CDD team near and far, with plenty of memories made along the way! Jackie and her husband traded their everyday routines for the colorful streets of Barcelona, Spain, enjoying time together exploring a new destination. Stephanie also ventured abroad, spending a sun-filled family vacation in Anguilla with her husband, daughter, and daughter's boyfriend. From European adventures to Caribbean beaches, both enjoyed the opportunity to step away from their busy schedules and make lasting memories with loved ones.

For Brenda, this summer was particularly special as she celebrated her engagement to Pete! Along with this exciting new chapter, she spent plenty of quality time with her family and grandchildren, including trips to Vail, Colorado, and Lake Tahoe. April's summer was equally centered around the people closest to her, from attending a dear friend's wedding alongside her daughter to spending time with her best friends. Both were wonderful reminders that some of life's sweetest moments are the ones we share with family and friends.

Meanwhile, Lexi spent her summer enjoying the charm of Charleston, South Carolina, with her boyfriend, making the most of life in the Lowcountry. She also headed north to Boston for a family trip, adding another memorable adventure to her summer.

Although everyone's summer looked a little different, there was one thing they all had in common: time spent with the people who matter most. At CDD, family is more than something we value outside of work. It's a big part of who we are as a team and the relationships we've built over the years. We celebrate each other's milestones, share stories from our lives, and bring that same sense of care and connection into the work we do every day.

After all, creating beautiful homes is about so much more than selecting the perfect fabric or putting the finishing touches on a room. It's about creating spaces where families gather, traditions begin, and memories are made for years to come.

As we head into another busy season at CDD, we're grateful for a summer that gave us the chance to recharge, celebrate, and spend time with those we love.
